About

Built because nothing else was right.

My name is Joe. I'm a sparky by trade. If you've ever worked with an electrician, you'll know we have a thing about things being in their place. Cables run straight. Panels are neat. If something looks off, it bothers you until it's fixed.

About six months ago I was putting together my desk setup and went looking for a monitor stand. I wanted something that felt right, something that matched the keyboard and actually looked like it belonged there.

I couldn't find it, so i designed one.

There were plenty of options. Bamboo. MDF wrapped in veneer. Things that looked fine in a photo but felt cheap the moment you touched them. Nothing that felt like it was made for someone who actually cared about their setup.

So I started sketching. I had no background in product design, just a clear picture in my head of what I wanted and no interest in settling for something that wasn't it. I'm the type of person who lines his phone up parallel to the edge of the table. I notice when things aren't right. That's not a quirk, it's just a standard.

Six months of drawings, revisions, material research and conversations with manufacturers later, the Monitor Stand exists. Cold-rolled steel. Microsuede-lined drawer. Soft close. No visible rails, no visible screws. Everything where it should be.

Yester Co is small on purpose. Small batches, real attention to each one. I'm not trying to build a furniture company. I'm just trying to build the things I couldn't find.
